Pokkén Tournament DX releases this week for Switch owning Poké fans. If you missed the Wii U release then this is a Pokémon themed fighting game with a bit of a twist. It combines open field and classic Street Fighter side-on phases to spice up the action. It also has a fine pedigree coming from Namco Bandai, the people behind Tekken.

This deluxe version adds four new fighters in Darkrai, Scizor, Croagunk and Empoleon plus new assist Pokémon. A fun little game for all those who have ever wanted to directly control Pokémon as they duke it out in a duel.

Moving away from the Switch and PC, PS4 and Xbox One owners can get their grubby mitts on Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite. This is the latest in the notorious Marvel and Capcom crossover series, and this time it’s 2 v 2. Early impressions of the game seemed shaky: muddy graphics, a lacklustre demo and poor Chun Li‘s face. I will say that they have at least fixed the first lady of SF‘s face though as for the rest I am unsure, but hope for the sake of the fans they’ve got their act together.

Here’s a trailer below.

Gaming as long as I can remember. Started with the OG Gameboy and Super Nintendo. Ever since powering up that grey beast games have become an important part of my life. Tekken, Mario, Zelda, Metal Gear Solid and Bayonetta all live in my heart.
