Sony are offering a 15 month PS Plus subscription for the cost of 12 months before prices rise next month.
When Sony announced the price of a PS Plus subscription was increasing last month, it’s fair to say the internet didn’t take it too well. Before implementing their price hike on the 31st August 2017, Sony have today announced that for the current price of a 12 month subscription (£39.99), they’ll be throwing in an extra three months for free.
The offer only applies to annual subscriptions in the UK and runs from now until 10am on Tuesday 29th August 2017. Sony do state that the offer is for PS Plus subscriptions purchased through the PlayStation Store, so anyone redeeming a shop-bought code may miss out.
Even if you do feel aggrieved at the forthcoming £10 price rise in the annual subscription, that’s a pretty sweet offer and Sony are no doubt hoping to keep as many of their 26.4 million PS Plus subscribers as possible.
Sony also confirmed that alongside the two PlayStation 4 titles offered each month, the new PlayLink social party game That’s You! is being offered as a bonus until the 25th October 2017.
As of next month, the price of a PS Plus subscription in the UK will rise £10 annually (£49.99), £5 quarterly (£19.99) and £1 monthly (£6.99).
