Acclaimed Action RPG Dragons Dogma: Dark Arisen will be making the jump to current generation consoles this Autumn.
Capcom’s Dragons Dogma series is one that a lot of people seem to want more of. This is the third version of the game from last generation and apart from the MMO, there isn’t/hasn’t been a sequel in sight. Capcom might play the old “We will base the likelihood of a sequel off the sales of this game” card to get those who care to purchase for a third time.
I’ve never played this game so I can’t personally give you any impressions, but it is an open world RPG that has a combat system that is somewhere between Monster Hunter and Devil May Cry. Here is the official synopsis from Wikipedia:
Dragon’s Dogma is a 2012 action role-playing video game developed and published by Capcom. The game features an open world fantasy setting, in addition to hack and slash gameplay elements. The game was directed by Hideaki Itsuno and includes other staff members who worked on previous Capcom game series, including Resident Evil, Devil May Cry, and Breath of Fire.
If this sounds like your bag then the game will be available in Autumn this year. While it isn’t confirmed, the game will most likely be a 60fps 1080p affair with no boost for PS4 Pro users, as this is what the previous Capcom ports (Resident Evil Series, Dead Rising Series) have been. They were good ports too.
I’ve linked a trailer for the Dragon’s Dogma PC trailer below, as the PS4/Xbox One version isn’t available yet, but I will update as and when (Just ignore the 4K stuff as a safe bet).
