It’s sort of legit, it sort of isn’t. A listing is a listing is a listing, but Gameseek aren’t the sort to just throw random shit out there… are they?
Remember that Crash Badicoot N’Sane Trilogy? The remaster we have waited our entire lives for? Well Gameseek has it listed as a £32.99 pre order.. and more interesting than that is they have a release date. 07/07/17.
From researching previous Crash titles release dates I can find no evidence that would suggest this is in any way true. It falls mere weeks after E3 and during our classic “summer drought” so is this accurate? I’m not sure.
It’s not the first time the game has been listed with a release date, back in December we all lost our shit because it was listed as a 28th February released by a Brazilian retailer. So maybe this is another placeholder. Hopefully the artwork they’re showing is real too, cause it’s rad.
If this date is correct and it is sooner than I thought then it’s time to get excited. This reboot is described as working from “the ground up”. We are getting updated graphics, higher frame rates, and hopefully the controls will feel more fluid and less d-pad-esque than the originals.
If you want to reminisce then you can get all previous titles in all their polygon-glory from the PS Store for a fairly low price… But maybe we should all wait. Nostalgia is a powerful thing and we don’t want to be disappointed when we remember how clunky it was.
If like me you’re gonna wait then get to preordering and eagerly sit by the door. Check out the trailer below and get re-enthused!
