Good news fellow Android elite: Super Mario Run finally has an android release date – and it’s not as far away as you think!
iOS users have been able to experience the well-known-plumber running and jumping at the tap of a screen for a while now. But as with everything the best is saved for last and Android users are still waiting, not much longer, though. According to the Nintendo Official twitter, he’s due to grace our devices in March… In fact, take a look at the tweet below:

Nintendo sure have a lot going on at the end of the quarter!
I probably won’t be buying this, not a surprise to anyone as I’m not a big Mario fan in the first place, though I know this has been a super popular game on iOS. In its first four days was reported to have had over 40 million downloads.
Super Mario Run is a tap-to-play game in which you sorta… Tap to jump, skip, and hop your way to coins… and stuff. It is Mario’s mobile gaming debut and has been cited as a dumbing down of Mario. But another way of looking at it is as a mobile game upwards, not a Mario game downward. You can even play as Toad, Peach, Yoshi, Toadette and Luigi.
In other exciting news this utilises the Google Play notify function, which means you can sign up to be notified when it is finally available for download, day one style. No checking the store every day to see if it’s finally on there!
Use the link in the tweet to sign up to be notified, otherwise just keep your eyes peeled. Super Mario Run won’t be in another castle for long, guys.
